If he comes to power, the country will be reconstructed: Tarique Rahman

Published: 03:18 7 February 2026
BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman wants to form a government with the support of the people. He said that for the past 16 years, the autocratic ruling class has only seen its own interests. If BNP comes to power, the country will be reconstructed anew.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the BNP election rally held in Thakurgaon on Saturday (February 7) afternoon.
Earlier, at 12:45 pm, he took the stage of the rally at the Thakurgaon Government Boys' High School ground. Thousands of leaders and activists present in the ground greeted him with applause and slogans. Tarique Rahman responded to the greetings of the people present by waving his hand.
This top BNP leader set foot on the ground of Thakurgaon after a long 23 years. A large presence of leaders and activists from the district and surrounding areas was observed at the rally.
If you want, I can make it shorter, in stronger political language, or in the style of an online news portal.
