BNP's door open for Awami League workers not involved in terrorism: Nurul Islam Moni

BNP's door is open for those who were not involved in terrorist activities while in Awami League, said Nurul Islam Moni, vice chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and candidate for Barguna-2 constituency with the paddy sheaf symbol. He said that there is no place for violence and terrorism in politics, rather, the main goal of politics should be to work for the welfare of the common people.
He said these things at an election rally organized at Sonali Madrasa ground in Kalmegha Union of Patharghata Upazila of Barguna on Wednesday afternoon. Addressing the leaders and activists present at the rally, Nurul Islam Moni said that BNP is ready to welcome all those who have joined Awami League but have not harmed anyone or been involved in any terrorist activities into democratic politics.
He further clarified, “We have no relationship with those who are involved in terrorist activities and oppressed the people. But the doors of BNP are open to those who have generally done politics and stood by the people.” Through this statement, he called for creating a participatory and tolerant environment instead of division in politics.
At the public meeting, Nurul Islam Moni called on all voters to fearlessly go to the polling station and exercise their right to vote. He said that free and fair elections strengthen democracy and reflect the true opinion of the people.
In addition to people from different classes and professions, a large number of leaders and activists of the Upazila BNP and its affiliates and associate organizations were present at the meeting. The entire meeting was filled with election enthusiasm and slogans.
