BNP Women's Yard Meeting in Keshabpur: 'Women are now at the forefront of the movement for change'

A women's yard meeting was held at the initiative of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in Dharmapur Ward No. 4 of Sagordari Union in Keshabpur Upazila of Jessore.
The meeting, held on Wednesday afternoon under the chairmanship of Ward No. 4 BNP President Ilias Hossain, was attended by Keshabpur Upazila BNP Senior Vice President Rehena Azad as the chief guest.
Upazila BNP General Secretary Lecturer Abdul Razzak, Organizing Secretary Alamgir Kabir Biswas, Upazila Mohila Dal leader Nazma Sultana, Shahanara Parveen, Union BNP President Akram Kha, General Secretary Sirajul Islam, Organizing Secretary Rafiqul Islam, Upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Azizul Rahman and Ward BNP General Secretary Saiful Islam, among others, spoke during the meeting. The program was hosted by Majnu Hossain, Vice President of Jessore District Chhatra Dal.
The speakers said that the BNP movement has now become a movement of the masses. The women of the country have also come forward in this movement of change. Women are also vocal today against the injustice, corruption and hardship imposed on the people by the government.
Local women leaders and ordinary women activists were present at the meeting and expressed their views on various irregularities of the government, the rise in prices of goods, the law and order situation and the suffering of the people.
The speakers also said that women's participation is very important for restoring democracy in the country and building a just society. BNP is uniting the women's society with that aim, so that their role in future political changes becomes stronger.
