The Bhola district branch of Jamaat-e-Islami has strongly reacted to the news that 45 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Bhola have joined BNP. On Tuesday (September 30), a statement signed by District Jamaat Ameer Muhammad Zakir Hussain and Secretary Md. Harunur Rashid strongly protested, calling the news completely "false, fabricated and purposeful".

In the statement, the leaders said that the news published in some media on September 30 claimed that 45 Jamaat leaders and activists from Bhola have joined BNP. However, in reality, there is no truth to it. They clearly stated that such news is just an attempt to tarnish the image of Jamaat.

Jamaat leaders said, “Jamaat-e-Islami is an ideology-based political party. Our leaders and activists firmly believe in Islamic ideology and are well-organized organizationally. As per the central directives, everyone is regularly active in party activities. No leader and activist in Bhola has joined BNP.”

The protest further mentioned that attempts are being made to create confusion in the public mind and hinder the progress of Jamaat by spreading such fake news. They said that responsible media can never publish such false news without verification. They urged the media to publish accurate and verified information in accordance with the principles of journalism.

In the last part of the statement, the district Jamaat made it clear that if such propaganda about the organization continues in the future, they will be forced to take necessary legal and organizational steps.
