Jatiya Party Secretary General Chunnu seeks unconditional apology from countrymen

Jatiya Party Secretary General (Party) Mujibur Rahman Chunnu has sought unconditional apology from countrymen if there was any moral error in participating in the elections on behalf of the party. He said that he did not do anything illegal by participating in the elections on behalf of the party, but if there was any moral error, he urged the people of the country to look at it with a forgiving eye.
He said these things at the 10th National Council of the Jatiya Party held at the Emmanuel Party Center in the capital on Saturday (August 9).
Chunnu said, “I have served as the Secretary General of the Jatiya Party for almost four years. During this time, I may have made mistakes. While doing politics, I may not have always taken the right steps in the party’s decisions. Many times we have had to endure insults, we have been called collaborators of different parties or collaborators of dictatorship.”
He further added, “We did not do any illegal thing by participating in the elections as a party. However, if there was any moral mistake or error, then standing in this council, we apologize unconditionally to the countrymen on behalf of the Jatiya Party.”
Highlighting the peaceful and democratic political philosophy of the Jatiya Party, Chunnu said that they want to move forward with the people of the country and follow all the laws and regulations. For this, he seeks the cooperation of all political parties and the government.
Jatiya Party Chairman Anwar Hossain Manju was present as the chief guest at the council. The meeting was presided over by the acting chairman of the party, Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud. The party’s co-chairman ABM Ruhul Amin, Secretary General Sheikh Shahidul Islam, co-chairman Kazi Firoz Rashid and other leaders were special guests.
