Central President of Student Rights Council Bin Yamin Mollah said that BNP is one of the largest political parties in the country. Do you want Awami League and Jatiya Party to sit in parliament as opposition parties? People want to know your clear position regarding the prohibition of political activities of Awami League and Jatiya Party.
He said this at a press conference organized by 'Anti-Fascist Student Workers Janata' platform at Dhaka University's TSC on Sunday (November 23) afternoon.
During the press conference, two demands were made on behalf of the anti-fascist student workers. The demands are-
1. Awami League, Jatiya Party and the parties which are friends of fascism who have disappeared, murdered, massacred should be banned from political activity.
2. Their participation in the next elections should be banned.
Bin Yamin Molla said, we have seen a statement of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Where he said, BNP political party does not want to be banned. Awami League, Jatiya Party and other allies of fascism have commented that the fight to ban political activities is a conspiracy to create an unstable situation in the country. He said that because he has wrong information or is it their party position?
He said that hundreds of martyred and injured families came to TSC and demanded justice, they do not want the resurrection of Awami League and its allies. Those who have gone missing, murdered should stop their political inactivity. Jatiya Party demands to stop political inactivity. You are a big political party. If you want to sit in parliament with Awami League and Jatiya Party?
He also said that the Jatiya Party is working to bring back the Awami League. Militants marched with sticks in Rangpur. Awami League is sending people from all over the country to their rally, GM Quader has also admitted this. Armed cadres of Awami League attacked the torch procession in front of Jatiya Party office. But the government is not taking any measures.
He also demanded to investigate the assets of all the MP-ministers participating in the 2024 elections.
