Students injured in clash between Dhaka College and Ideal College

A clash has broken out between students of Dhaka College and Ideal College in the capital's Science Lab area. The incident, which occurred on Sunday (September 27) afternoon near the entrance of Green Road, disrupted traffic on surrounding streets. Students from the two colleges offered conflicting accounts regarding the origin of the clash.
The altercation began shortly after 12:15 PM. Habib, a Higher Secondary student at Dhaka College, claimed that while their college bus was passing through Science Lab after classes, some Ideal College students threw bricks and stones at it, shattering several windowpanes. Upon hearing the news, Dhaka College students rushed to the scene.
Conversely, an Ideal College student, speaking on condition of anonymity, claimed that Dhaka College students suddenly attacked them while they were on their way home. According to him, several of their students were injured, with some sustaining blows to the head. He stated that he was unaware of the reason behind the attack.
Dhaka College Principal Professor AK Ilias stated he had learned that some Ideal College students attempted to vandalize the college bus in front of LabAid Hospital as it passed through Science Lab. He later received reports of a clash between students from the two institutions. According to the information he provided, three Dhaka College students were injured.
The Principal further mentioned that, anticipating a potential clash, the college administration had been in contact with the New Market and Dhanmondi police stations since the morning. Teachers were also dispatched to the scene to restrain the students.
