Dhaka, 14 February 2025: Khilafat Majlis leaders have demanded the arrest and speedy trial of the masterminds of the mirror house. They said that these masterminds in the administration and various forces are still escaping arrest, so it is important to bring them to justice quickly. At the same time, they called for finding the mirror houses located across the country and displaying them in public.
This demand was made at a meeting of the party's executive council at the central office of the Khilafat Majlis on Wednesday. The party leaders summarized the meeting through a press release and said, "Six months after the coup, the nation has finally seen some horrific images of the torture of the mirror house. I applaud the interim government for this. However, the rest of the mirror houses in the country must be found to expose the brutal torture and disappearances of the Sheikh Hasina-led government to the world."
The leaders also said in the meeting, “The country is experiencing instability and conspiracies due to the instigation of the fascist ruler. If this situation continues, everyone must unite for the independence and sovereignty of the country.”
Calling for national unity against the fascist rule and in favor of independence and sovereignty, they said, “We must ensure that such a ruler does not come to power again.”
The meeting was presided over by Khilafat Majlis Ameer Maulana Abdul Basit Azad. The meeting, chaired by the party’s Secretary General Ahmed Abdul Kader, was also attended by the party’s Nayeb Ameer Maulana Ahmed Ali Qasemi, Professor Abdullah Farid, Maulana Syed Ferdous Bin Ishaq, Joint Secretary General Jahangir Hossain, Muhammad Muntasir Ali and Mostafizur Rahman.
The Khilafat Majlis called for the issue to be seriously publicized in the media.
