Iran has taken a tough stance in response to Israel's recent attacks. The country has launched direct missile attacks. Warning sirens have already sounded across central, southern Israel and Jerusalem. Public life has come to a standstill in panic; people are running to shelters to escape the bomb attacks.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that missiles are being fired from Iran one after another. The situation is so worrying that sirens have also started sounding in areas bordering Lebanon.
The situation in Jerusalem is becoming increasingly worrying. Lawmakers in the country's national parliament, the Knesset, also ran to shelters at the sound of sirens.
Israeli authorities said that residents of areas at risk of attack have been ordered to stay in bomb shelters. The IDF has warned that sirens could sound in central Israel at any moment; meaning the attack could spread further.
This situation has raised new concerns in the international community. This latest escalation of Iran-Israel tensions has further threatened the stability of the Middle East.
