Hasnat Abdullah, coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement, made a statement clarifying their position regarding the relief and money raised to help the flood victims. He made this statement through a post on social media Facebook on Saturday.
Hasnat Abdullah wrote in the post, through the press briefing on September 4, we were informed about the income and expenditure of the relief program of TSC. Apart from expenses, the rest of the money is reserved in Dhaka University's Janata Bank, Sonali Bank Branch, Islami Bank and Mobile Banking. A special account has been opened in the name of a teacher, a female student and a student of Dhaka University, where money can be transferred only through the joint signature of these three. So far no money has been transferred from that account.
He further wrote, "In order to ensure transparency, we are conducting an audit on the income and expenditure of the relief program and the audit report will be published in the next few days, Insha'Allah."
