West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress party minister Udayan Guha has commented that Mamata Banerjee will not make the same mistake as the ousted Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina. He made this comment in the wake of demands for the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the rape and murder of a doctor at RG Kar Hospital.

Udayan Guha said, those who point fingers at Mamta will be broken. Kolkata's Dinhata MLA and North Bengal Development Minister Udayan Guher's comments were strongly criticized by opposition leaders in the state. The Minister of Mamata's party also compared the anti-government protests in Bangladesh with the state-wide movement against the killing of doctors at the RG Kar Hospital.

The Trinamool protested in Cooch Behar district on Saturday to protest against the RG tax incident and to demand the hanging of the culprits. This protest program was held in Cooch Behar Sadar, Dinhata, Mathabhanga, Tufanganj.
West Bengal's Bengali daily Anandabazar wrote, North Bengal Development Minister Udayan said, standing on the stage of the protest rally at the foot of the Gandhi statue in Sagardighi, Cooch Behar, "Those who are pointing fingers at Mamata Banerjee in this incident, those who are abusing Mamata Banerjee on social media, those who are pointing fingers and demanding Mamata Banerjee's resignation, mark those fingers. Dismantling must be arranged. Otherwise they will try to make Bengal into Bangladesh.
He also said, "But they don't know that Sheikh Hasina did the mistake, Mamata Banerjee will not do that mistake, she did not." So even after vandalizing RG Kar Medical College, the police did not open fire. Police will not allow Bangladesh here. The government will not allow Bangladesh here. Trinamool workers will not allow Bengal to become Bangladesh with the cooperation of common people.

District BJP President Sukumar Roy took a dig at Udayan's statement. He said, "Thousands, lakhs of people are now on the streets demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister. Women have taken over the night. How many people were in that program! He (Udayan) will break how many hands? Who will break your finger? Don't let that happen. May his (Udayan) finger also be fine in the coming days.

This BJP leader said, "Everything is happening with the help of the police. On that day (August 14 night), if opposition party people were present, the police would have fired.”
