The country's borders have been tightened after former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled to India. In the meantime, an officer of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has informed about the use of smart fencing on the border.
BSF has become active on the Bangladesh-India border so that no one from Bangladesh can enter India. The officers of the force are going to village to village meetings in their respective countries. They instructed the villagers that no one should enter their village. Besides, if anyone new is seen in the village, they have been asked to inform them.
BSF officials say that illegal activities and infiltration along the border can be prevented with the cooperation of border residents.
On the other hand, India will use 'smart fence' to prevent infiltration and smuggling across the border. Inspector General of Rajasthan Frontier of BSF ML Garg informed this information yesterday on Monday.
He said, “Smart fences are working on the border. 870 km lateral road will be constructed along the international border. It will connect 400 km of EX road with all the border posts. Smart fencing will be built along all side roads. It cannot be cut; Also intruders will not be able to get through it.”
He also said, “This is a technology whenever someone tries to break it. A signal will be sent to headquarters. This will enable the nearest patrol team to reach the specific location in a quick time.”
