US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran's top leaders contacted him directly during the ongoing conflict and requested a halt to the bombing. In an interview with Fox News, he said that the US had fired 49 Tomahawk missiles at various Iranian targets in the recent operation.

Trump also warned that if the US did not accept the conditions for stopping the war, a more massive attack would be launched on Iran. According to him, Tehran must make a decision quickly, otherwise the situation could be even more dire.

However, Trump's claim was immediately rejected by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). According to Iran's state news agency IRNA, Iranian officials never contacted Trump to request a halt to the attack. The IRGC claims that this is an attempt by the US to avoid responsibility for the war.

Meanwhile, tensions between the two countries have increased again. In response to recent attacks by US forces, Iran has claimed responsibility for attacks on US bases in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, as well as several targets in the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of a wider conflict in the Middle East.
