US special forces have entered Iran. The operation is being conducted to rescue the missing crew of a downed fighter jet, according to the British newspaper The Telegraph.

According to the report, US Special Forces members entered Iran on Friday night local time and began a rescue operation. Earlier that same morning, Iran shot down a US F-15 fighter jet.

One of the two crew members on the plane was rescued through a risky operation, but the other is still missing. Special forces are conducting an operation to rescue him.

During the rescue operation, Iranian police opened fire on a US helicopter. As a result, the tail of one of the helicopters caught fire and smoke was seen coming out. However, it was later able to land safely.

Meanwhile, Iranian forces and local militias have launched a counter-operation to find the missing pilot. He has not been found so far.

Iranian state television announced that a reward would be offered for the capture of the American pilot, dead or alive.

It should be noted that on the same day, another American A-10 fighter jet was also reported to have been shot down in the Persian Gulf area adjacent to the Strait of Hormuz. This type of aircraft is usually used for close-range attacks.
