Amid ongoing tensions with the US and Israel, new discussions have begun on Iran's military capabilities. UK defence minister John Healey has claimed that Russia may have secret help behind Iran's recent drone attacks. According to him, the possibility of Russian President Vladimir Putin's influence or cooperation in developing these military strategies cannot be ruled out.

Pakistani media outlet The Dawn, citing the international news agency AFP, reported that the British Ministry of Defence is currently conducting a technical analysis of an Iranian drone. The wreckage of the drone that hit the UK's RAF Akrotiri airbase in Cyprus on March 1 is being examined. The investigation is looking into whether the drone contains evidence of technology, components or technical assistance from Russia or any other foreign country.

Speaking to reporters during a visit to the British military headquarters in Northwood, near London, the defence minister said that all information found in this regard will be made public once the investigation process is complete. He indicated that some aspects of Iran's military strategy and capabilities may be influenced by external forces.

Healy also said that in the current global situation, it is not uncommon to think that Russia may have a role in some of Iran's military capabilities. He noted that Russia is one of the countries that is benefiting economically, especially due to the increase in oil prices in the world market.

According to analysts, the recent tensions in the Middle East and the geopolitical rivalry between major powers are complicating the situation. If the investigation finds evidence of Russian involvement, it could add a new dimension to the international diplomatic and security situation.
