This time, the Indian media is in a new controversy by calling the July fighters 'Pak-dalal'!

After the brutal murder of Shaheed Osman Hadi, the spokesperson of the Inquilab Manch, there has been intense protest and anger spread throughout Bangladesh. Various political parties, social organizations and ordinary people are taking to the streets demanding speedy trial and arrest of the culprits.
There have been allegations that the killer involved in this murder has fled the country to India. At the same time, a section of the protesters believe that India and Sheikh Hasina, who is in India, may have been behind the murder, directly or indirectly. Although these allegations have not been officially proven yet.
Despite such serious allegations and public outrage across the country, it has been alleged that many influential Indian media outlets, including the Indian media outlet Z 24 Ghanta, are playing a virtually silent role in this matter. The news of the murder of a political spokesperson in Bangladesh, the escape of the killer, or the nationwide protests did not find significant coverage in the Indian mainstream media.
However, along with the silence, some Indian media outlets and online platforms have launched a new controversial campaign targeting Bangladesh. It is alleged that they are publishing provocative posts and headlines calling Bangladesh's July fighters and young leaders 'Pak-dalal'.
Headlines and posts circulating on some Indian media outlets and digital platforms include—
'I will behead India!'
'Bangladesh's Pak-dalal young leaders shout'
'2 visa centers closed in Dhaka'
Analysts see these headlines and statements as anti-Bangladesh propaganda and intentional provocation. According to them, Bangladesh's youth movement and July fighters are being presented controversially by hiding an important political event like the murder of martyr Osman Hadi.
Critics claim that such propaganda can create tension between the two countries and is also worrisome for regional stability. They also commented that using such aggressive language without verifying factual information is against the principles of international journalism.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh government has said that the investigation into the murder of martyr Osman Hadi is ongoing and the culprits will be brought to justice wherever they are found. At the same time, it has called on the countrymen and international media to refrain from rumors, propaganda and misleading information.
According to political observers, only responsible journalism and truthful reporting can keep the situation stable in this critical time; otherwise, purposeful propaganda and incitement can further complicate the situation.
