Former US President Donald Trump has once again made controversial comments about going to heaven. He said, "I haven't done anything that will get me to heaven. Not really. I don't think I'm going to heaven."

The British newspaper The Independent reported that Trump made these comments while talking to reporters on Air Force One, the president's special plane, while leaving for a visit to Israel.

Fox News journalist Peter Ducey asked him whether his recent "maybe I'll go to heaven" comment and his Israel-Hamas peace plan had brought any positive progress on that path.

In response, Trump laughed and said, "I was just kidding. Honestly, I haven't done anything that will get me to heaven." He then added, "We're on Air Force One now, maybe this is my heaven!" I'm not sure if I'll go to heaven, but I know I did a good job saving a lot of lives.'

Trump then brought up the 2020 US presidential election again. He complained, 'If the 2020 election had not been rigged, I would be in the White House today, not Joe Biden. If I had, Russian President Vladimir Putin would not have invaded Ukraine. It would have also avoided a major global conflict.'

He also said, 'The Biden administration was incompetent. An incompetent president ran the country. Millions of people died because of that rigged election. The Israel issue is also complicated by the failures of the previous administration.'

This is not the first comment by Trump on the 'possibility of going to heaven'. Earlier, on August 19, he said on the phone on the Fox and Friends program, 'If I can save 7,000 lives every week, that would be a huge achievement. I want to go to heaven if possible.’

In that interview, he also said, ‘I’ve heard that my condition is not good. I’m at the bottom of the list. But if I ever get to heaven, that would be one of the greatest achievements of my life.’

Trump’s comments have sparked new discussions across the United States. Some are seeing his statement as a ‘joke’, while others are analyzing it as a ‘self-critical political message’.
