Marco Rubio has been appointed as the new US Secretary of State with the full support of the Senate. He is known to be anti-China and a staunch pro-Israeli. This information was published in a report by CNN and Reuters on Tuesday.
The report states that Rubio's appointment was approved unanimously by 99 members of the US Senate. Members of the Democratic Party also voted in his favor.
Marco Rubio has been serving as a Republican senator from Florida since 2011. A few years ago, he opposed Donald Trump. However, he has now established himself as one of the most important members of his administration.
It is believed that the Trump administration wants to further strengthen its anti-China policy through Rubio's appointment. In addition, strengthening relations with Israel may also be its main goal.
