What is the reason for Google's decision to close billions of Gmails?

Gmail has become an important part of the online work of human life in today's world. It allows sharing of various types of documents, images and videos through e-mail. Gmail has POP3 and IMAP facilities. Besides, Google Drive and Google Photos are also used. This free webmail service is provided by Google.
Unfortunately, Google has decided to close inactive Gmail accounts from September 20. Google has decided to close inactive accounts to reduce the pressure on the servers. If you haven't used your Gmail account for a long time, you may face problems.
Closing inactive Gmail accounts
According to Google, Gmail accounts which are inactive for more than 2 years will be closed. Many people these days create multiple Gmail accounts but don't use them anymore. And so Google has decided to close inactive Gmail accounts to reduce server storage.
What Google said on the account closure policy page
Accounts that have not been used for two or more years have been decided to close. Such accounts are being notified by Google and requested to keep their accounts active. If too many accounts remain unused, Google will take appropriate action.

Log in to your Gmail account at least once, send e-mails, use Google services, watch videos on YouTube, search Google.
