Section 144 was issued as two groups of BNP called a rally at the same place

The upazila administration has issued Section 144 for calling two groups of BNP to hold a rally at the same place at Sagarkandi Union of Sujanagar Upazila in Pabna. Section 144 has been issued on Monday (October 21) morning in 4 possible places of the union.
Sujanagar Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mir Rasheduzzaman Rashed confirmed that Section 144 has been issued in Sagirkandi Bazar, Khalilpur, Shyamganj and Talimnagar from 12 noon to 12 midnight.
It has been reported that two groups led by upazila BNP convening committee member Abdus Salam Mollah and proposed Sagarkandi Union Juba Dal organizing secretary Tariqul Islam called for a counter rally in Sagarkandi market. There was excitement about this.

After the fall of the Awami League government, there have been several incidents of fighting between these two groups. Abdus Salam Mollah did politics with the central president of Krishak Dal, agriculturist Hasan Zafir Tuhiner and Tariqul Islam, former MP of Pabna-2 Constituency Salim Reza Habib.
UNO Mir Rasheduzzaman Rashed said, "I don't know if it is BNP, but we have come to know that the two parties have called a rally there." There was a clash two days ago. It is not admitting who called the rally. They did not inform the police station as per the rules. So a complication has developed locally. There is a threat to public safety, so Section 144 has been issued there.
Tariqul Islam, organizing secretary of the proposed Sagarkandi Union Juba Dal, said, 'We called a rally a few days ago after informing the administration to withdraw all false cases in the name of BNP Acting Chairman Tarek Rahman and stop extortion in the area. But today the administration has issued section 144.'
However, Upazila BNP convening committee member Abdus Salam Molla claimed, "We had earlier informed the police station that we will hold a rally there. Then they called a rally. Now the administration has issued section 144.
