Distribution of Election Materials Begins in Panchagarh Ahead of 13th National Polls

Distribution of election materials has begun in Panchagarh district ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election 2026.

On Saturday (February 11) morning, transparent ballot boxes and other necessary election materials were dispatched to various polling centers across the district.

Earlier in the day, Assistant Returning Officers provided instructions to polling officials as well as on-duty Ansar and police personnel assigned to the centers.

Law enforcement agencies have been instructed to maintain strict vigilance to prevent any form of violence during the election period. Members of the Army, along with other law enforcement forces, are working in the field to ensure a secure voting environment. Ballot papers will be delivered to some centers today, while the remaining centers will receive them early on the morning of election day.

Panchagarh-1 Constituency (Tetulia, Atwari, and Panchagarh Sadar)

According to the Election Office, the constituency has a total of 436,923 registered voters. Among them, 219,338 are male voters, 217,584 are female voters, and 1 is registered as a third-gender voter.

There are 156 polling centers in this constituency, with 99 temporary booths and 917 permanent booths, making a total of 1,016 booths. A total of seven candidates are contesting in this seat.

Panchagarh-2 Constituency (Boda and Debiganj)

This constituency has a total of 389,941 registered voters, including 195,710 male voters and 194,231 female voters.

There are 131 polling centers, with 159 temporary booths and 695 permanent booths, totaling 854 booths.

Overall District Overview

Combined, Panchagarh-1 and Panchagarh-2 constituencies have a total of 826,864 registered voters. Of them, 415,048 are male and 411,815 are female voters.

Across the district, there are 287 polling centers, 258 temporary booths, and 1,612 permanent booths, making a total of 1,870 voting booths.

Election officials have stated that all necessary preparations have been taken to ensure a peaceful and orderly election.
