Those who announced immediate programs in the case of the hack of Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer's X (former Twitter) account are involved in this hacking, said the party's Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair.
He made these remarks at a press conference organized on Sunday (February 1) regarding the hacking of Jamaat Ameer's X handle. He claimed that this was a well-planned and conspiratorial incident, through which an attempt was made to tarnish the image of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair said that Jamaat Ameer's X account was hacked at 4:37 pm on Saturday (January 31). The posts made from the account at that time were completely against the thoughts and ideology of Jamaat. Later, at 5:22 pm, the account was restored.
He said that those involved in this hacking had been preparing for it for a long time. There is a deep conspiracy in this incident and Jamaat fears the involvement of a special group in it. Some objectionable posts were deliberately made from the hacked account.
He also said at the press conference that those who immediately gave the program in this incident were actually involved in the hacking. Stating that legal action is being taken in the matter, he said that this is extreme exaggeration and legal action will be taken against those involved in it.
