The health of Sharif Osman Hadi, the spokesperson of the Inqilab Manch and a potential candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency in the upcoming national elections, is not yet stable. According to doctors, although surgery is required to activate his brain, his body is currently waiting for complete stabilization.
A post on social media regarding the physical condition of Osman Hadi, who is undergoing treatment at the Singapore General Hospital, stated that it is important to completely stabilize the body before the operation. The treatment can take place anywhere in Singapore or England. The main goal at present is to restore the connection between the body and the brain. Except for the brain, other parts of the body are active. For this, his family has called for special prayers from everyone.
Earlier, citing doctors at the Singapore Hospital, Dr. Abdul Ahad, a neurosurgeon at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and involved in Hadi's treatment, said that Hadi's physical condition is still critical and unchanged. He is still at the crossroads of life and death.
According to doctors, the ischemic changes and edema in Hadi's brain have not yet subsided. As a result, a specific 'time window' has become very important in terms of treatment. The brain stem injury has created pressure in the ventricular system of the brain, which is a big challenge for doctors, they said.
Dr. Abdul Ahad also said that after being shot in the context of the July coup, Osman Hadi was taken to Singapore for advanced treatment after undergoing surgery and intensive care in Dhaka. Since his admission to the Emergency Complex of the Singapore General Hospital, the neurosurgery and critical care teams have been jointly continuing his treatment.
Currently, the kidneys, heart and lungs are being kept alive with the help of artificial ventilation. According to doctors, there has been no change in Hadi's GCS score yet, meaning there is no visible improvement or deterioration in his neurological condition.
It is worth noting that Osman Hadi arrived in Singapore by air ambulance at around 7:30 pm local time on Monday (December 15). He was admitted to Singapore General Hospital within an hour of landing at the airport.
