Maulana Ataur Rahman Bachchu, the candidate with the scales symbol nominated by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami for Narail-2 constituency, said, “I have not come to be your leader, nor have I come to be an MP; I want to be a servant of the people of Narail-Lohagara.”
He said this while addressing a huge public meeting organized by the Upazila Jamaat at the historic Molla field in Lakshipasha, Lohagara Upazila, as the chief guest on Saturday (December 6) at 10 am.
Bachchu also said that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has now become a powerful organization in Narail. The leaders and activists will have to work tirelessly to establish democratic values in the state. If it can come to power, Jamaat will follow a zero tolerance policy against corruption, terrorism and extortion.
He said that the Bangladesh of the future will be a just society based on Islamic values - where there will be no place for injustice, oppression, corruption, terrorism and extortion. Our main goal will be to build a safe and livable Narail. For this, he called on the people of Narail to come forward unitedly under the leadership of Jamaat.
The public meeting was presided over by Maulana Hadiuzzaman, President of Lohagara Upazila Jamaat, and moderated by General Secretary Md. Sekender Ali.
The meeting was also addressed by - Narail District Jamaat Election Director Professor Abdus Samad, Co-Election Director and Mayoral Candidate Md. Jamirul Haque Tutul, Upazila Chairman Candidate Maulana Alamgir Hossain, Vice Chairman Candidate Md. Emdadul Haque Emdad and other district and upazila leaders were present.
