BNP's mass movement in Barisal to implement Tarique Rahman's 31-point program

A massive mass mobilization program was held in Barisal city to call for the implementation of the 31-point program announced by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to repair the state structure and restore the rights of the people. The program ran from 4 pm to evening on Thursday (October 30) from Chowker Pul, Chawkbazar, Port Road to Falpatti in Ward No. 9 of Barisal metropolis.

The program was led by Afroza Khanam Nasreen, senior joint convener and former member secretary (acting) of Barisal metropolis BNP. She said, "The 31-point program announced by Tarique Rahman is not just a political program, it is an outline for building a new state. BNP is reflecting the aspirations of the people of the country who are agitating for democracy and justice."

At that time, the presidents, secretaries of various wards of the Metropolitan BNP, Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Chhatra Dal and more than a hundred leaders and activists of its organs and associate organizations were present. They pledged to implement Tarique Rahman's 31 points and announced to continue the peaceful movement against the government's repression, arrests and oppression.

During the mass communication, enthusiasm was also observed among the local general public. Many said that if BNP can truly implement these 31 points, then the country will return to the path of democracy, justice and rule of law.

At the end of the program, Afroza Khanam Nasreen said, "Barisal BNP is always for the people, for democracy. We see these 31 points as a pledge for the liberation of the people. This program will show the way to build the future Bangladesh."

Through this program, Barisal Metropolitan BNP has shown that they are still organized and ready to take to the field to implement the program announced under the leadership of Tarique Rahman.
