A. Fascist Sheikh Hasina on the path to change under the leadership of the League: Who will take over the party?

Sheikh Hasina, who has been the president of the Awami League for more than 44 years, is planning a major change in the party's leadership. The long-serving leader has hinted at leaving the leadership several times but has never publicly announced an alternative leadership. Observers believe that the lack of a succession plan is one of the reasons for the Awami League's organizational weakness.
The party faced an organizational breakdown after being ousted on August 5. Grassroots leaders and activists were confused due to lack of direction. Sheikh Hasina is currently in India, where her political activities are being carried out under strict restrictions.
According to a BBC Bangla report, Sheikh Hasina is planning to bring her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy and daughter Saima Wazed Putul to the top leadership of the Awami League. In addition, Sheikh Rehana's son Radowan Mujib Siddiqui Bobby may also be seen in important positions.
The report mentions that just as the Indian Congress brought Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to the leadership, Sheikh Hasina is also looking to implement a similar model for the Awami League. Saima Wazed has already taken a leave of absence from the WHO and has become active in politics.
Although Sajeeb Wazed Joy is a permanent resident of the United States, he continues to work as the party's chief spokesperson. On the other hand, Saima Wazed is directly responsible for organizing political meetings and interviews as her mother's assistant. All in all, it seems that Sheikh Hasina is gradually handing over or being forced to hand over her political responsibilities to her children.
