On Monday, the day of the students' victory, there were clashes between the students and the law enforcement agencies across the country. Apart from this, many leaders and workers of the ruling party were killed in the mass beating by the angry crowd after noon. As of writing this report at night, 52 people have been killed in firing by law and order forces and mob beatings across the country. Among them, there are 9 people in the capital and 45 people in different districts. Among the dead are 6 in Habiganj, 6 in Rajshahi, 6 in Kushtia, 5 in Jessore, 2 in Manikganj, 1 in Sripur, 9 in Savar, 2 in Comilla, 2 in Lohagarh, 2 in Jhenaidah, 2 in Chandpur, 1 in Koira and 1 in Sunamganj.

 

Meanwhile, anti-discrimination students clashed with members of law and order forces in various areas including Shanirakhra, Kajla, Rayerbagh, Jatrabari, Shaheed Minar, Chankhanarpool and other areas of the capital till noon yesterday demanding Sheikh Hasina's resignation. At least 9 people were killed in police firing.

There was a tense situation across the capital since yesterday morning around the one-sided demand. Every road in Dhaka was occupied by members of law and order forces including the army. Anti-discrimination students and general public started gathering in Kajala area of ​​Jatrabari of the capital after ten o'clock in the morning yesterday to realize their demands and to observe the non-cooperation movement. When the agitators gathered on the streets and started marching forward with slogans, the law enforcement officers dispersed them by throwing sound grenades, rubber bullets and tear shells at them.

 

The agitators then ran into the surrounding alleys and streets. The chase began. Meanwhile, the members of law and order forces fired one after another to stop the agitators.
