The embassies of 14 countries of the world have written a letter calling for the accountability of the law enforcement forces in dealing with the student agitation on the issue of quota reform and the "excessive use of force" in the conflict. It also urges all parties to find a sustainable solution to the ongoing crisis to avoid further loss of life in the crisis created around the reform movement.

Embassies are USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Australia and European Union.
The letter urges that due process be followed in the case of those detained. Along with this, freedom of expression and the right of assembly are also said to be upheld.
It added that they felt that the extended curfew and internet disconnection had a far-reaching impact on the lives of citizens, with businesses suffering and communication severely disrupted. For this reason, their request, internet services should be fully launched across the country as soon as possible.
