Although the name of a village in Ward No. 8 of Palashbari Municipality is Raigram, it has become known as 'Heroin Palli' throughout the country. As a result, the residents of that village have to suffer from various adverse conditions.
One of them is Eshaq Ali (55). He earns a living by repairing rickshaws-easybikes.
He is the father of four sons and daughters in his married life. Younger daughter Masuda Akhter had to get married in extreme trouble. Last August 15, the daughter was married, but the marriage broke up many times before. Although relatively less, the same situation had to be faced in the case of other children.
He said, no one from other villages wants to be related to our village. As a result, like everyone else, I had to face such a problem.
Eshak said that he was able to get his daughter married recently after hundreds of attempts. Groom works in Helal Mia garment, Gobindganj upazila of Bari district.
Ibrahim Mia (38), a resident of the same village. Father Haider Ali. He highlighted his life experience and said that he is a driver by profession. Recently, Orin went to the company's office for a job as a driver in Paribahan. Meanwhile, the authorities expressed satisfaction with all matters including his license. But when you find out the address of the house, it is only a problem. He was denied employment on suspicion of transporting drugs while driving.
These things came up in the anti-narcotics exchange meeting organized at Battala at Char Charmatha intersection of that village last Sunday, September 8 in the afternoon.
