Lifestyle experts say that good sleep is the key to a healthy lifestyle. However, many people engage in some habits before going to bed at night, which have a negative impact on the body and mind the next day. It is important to avoid these three habits before going to bed at night.
1. Mobile scrolling and excessive screen time
Many people do not realize when it is night due to watching Facebook, YouTube or dramas and series at night. The blue light of mobile or TV reduces the secretion of melatonin hormone, which is very important for getting to sleep.
Consequences:
Late sleep
Reduced depth of sleep
Eye irritation and headache
Solution:
Turn off all types of screens at least 30-60 minutes before going to bed. If you want, you can develop the habit of reading a book or doing light meditation.
2. Heavy meals or excessive tea-coffee
It is the habit of many people to eat heavy meals, oily-salty or fast food before going to bed at night. Some drink tea or coffee to relieve fatigue.
Consequences:
Indigestion and Gastric
Acidity and Heartburn
Discomfort during sleep
Solution:
Dinner should be eaten at least 2-3 hours before going to bed. It is better to drink lukewarm water or herbal tea instead of tea and coffee.
3. Going to bed with worries and negative thoughts
Many people think about all the problems of the day or worries about the future before going to bed. This prevents sleep and increases mental stress.
Consequences:
Insomnia
Mental depression
Fatigue in the morning
Solution:
Try to calm yourself down before going to bed. Relaxation habits like remembering Allah, praying, thinking about gratitude, or taking deep breaths come in handy.
Experts remind us that a good night's sleep is not just a luxury; it is an essential condition for a healthy lifestyle. Avoiding these three habits is the way to keep sleep deep and natural.
