Death toll in Kerala landslides exceeds 150 About 186 more people were injured. Meanwhile, heavy rains and strong winds are hampering the rescue operation.

Besides, due to continuous heavy rains, the road communication with the disaster area Wenad has been cut off, thus conducting the relief activities has also become complicated.

On Wednesday (July 31), the country's media NDTV reported this information.

The landslide destroyed several houses, overflowed water bodies and uprooted many trees. The picturesque villages of Mundakkai, Churamala, Attamala and Nulpuzha are also isolated from other areas. Many people are said to be stuck there.

The state government said more than 3,000 people have taken shelter in emergency relief camps.

The Kerala region has been hit by incessant rains. The state has recorded 372 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours. And then three landslides occurred in Wayanad district within four hours.
