Tensions have intensified between Pakistan's ruling party PML-N and opposition party PTI over the third round of talks. On Monday, the leaders of the two parties engaged in a heated exchange of words in the National Assembly. The situation became more complicated as they made counter-accusations against each other.

Although the third round of talks was scheduled to be held on January 16, there has already been a cloud over the feasibility of the talks. Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif questioned the sincerity of the PTI and said, "Meaningful talks are not possible through hostile behavior." On the other hand, opposition leader Omar Ayub Khan strongly criticized the government's inaction.

Omar Ayub alleged that the government was indifferent to several issues, including the killing of 13 people in Islamabad on November 26 and the torture of people detained in military custody on May 9. The National Assembly became heated in response.

Meanwhile, the third delay in the verdict in the $190 million corruption case against Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi has also sparked controversy. PML-N members have attacked Imran Khan over the issue. PTI leader Omar Ayub countered by saying that the draft verdict in the case was prepared by ministers.

On the other hand, the PTI leader demanded an investigation into Shehbaz Sharif's Avenfield apartment in London. However, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, dismissing these allegations, called the opposition's behavior an "obstacle to meaningful dialogue."

Analysts believe that this heated situation is creating further complications on the path to resolving the country's political crisis.
