Built during the Mughal period, there are many mysteries surrounding this mosque which is the miraculous house of God, even though the entire area was destroyed by the Yamuna river. Locals claim that the mosque sways but does not break due to the current of the river and the intensity of the waves.

The construction of the mosque has a total of 12 minarets on all four sides with a grand dome and two grand domes on the north-south side. Where the faithful stand and make vows in exchange for everything from poultry and cattle and goats to gold and cash.

According to local sources, Abdul Malek Khan Mridha of Mridha origin built this mosque in approximately 1601 BC at the foot of the Yamuna river, which is rich in history and tradition.

When it was built, a huge jam tree next to the main building used to moor cargo ships from different countries. At that time, the mosque was built on a slightly higher place from the river, where the stairs were used to enter the mosque.

After the construction of the mosque, Abdul Malek Khan (Mridha) stood on the pulpit and admonished the worshipers present, that he should be buried in the place where he will die, and he passed away soon after he came down from the pulpit.

Later, Mridha, a prominent businessman. Atiqur Rahman Talukdar donated a total of 37 percent of the land from the western side of the mosque with his own funds and 10 percent of the deceased Mohammad Atwar Khan and 6 daughters of the deceased Akajat Khar donated 6 bigha of land to the name of the mosque. The money earned by selling the produce of the land is deposited in the treasury.

Another one and a half bigha of land was donated by the Muslim Talukdar in the name of the mosque, which was washed away by the Yamuna river some years ago.

It is said that at that time there used to be a pious pious person inside the mosque who everyone thought was crazy but actually he was a saint of God.

When the mosque was about to be swallowed up by the flowing river Yamuna, the man walked over the river and went far to the west of the mosque and was never found again. Since then the river Yamuna has moved far westwards from the mosque.

Later two roofs were constructed in the front part of the mosque for the prayers of the Muslims.

The earlier minaret, which was washed away by the river, is currently under construction about 100 feet high on the north-west side of the mosque.

At present, about 2,200 Muslims can pray together in the mosque. Members of Mridha origin have been in charge of the mosque since its construction.

At present Mutawalli is in charge of a brave freedom fighter of Mridha origin. Hafiz Khan Talukdar and prominent businessman Md. as president. Atiqur Rahman Talukder.
