A truckload of eggs arrived from India

Two lakh 31 thousand 40 pieces of eggs were imported from India through Benapole land port. Egg truck entered Benapole port via Petrapol port in India on Sunday 8th September evening. It was released from the port later that night. Bangladeshi importers of these imported eggs are Ratul International and Indian exporters Shri Laxmi Narayan Bhandar.
1104 cartons arrived in Bangladesh, each carton contains 210 eggs. Excluding customs duty, the price of these eggs is estimated at 11 thousand 172.06 dollars, which is 13 lakh 48 thousand 243.92 taka in Bangladeshi taka.
Abdul Latif, owner of Benapole C&F agent Ratul International, told the media that more eggs need to be imported to resolve the instability of the egg market. At times, imports were stopped
