Hollywood actor Giancarlo Esposito converts to Islam while filming in Saudi Arabia

Popular entertainment star and 'Breaking Bad' actor Giancarlo Esposito has converted to Islam, Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Al-Sheikh has claimed.
Saudi media reports said that Esposito decided to convert to Islam while filming a film in Saudi Arabia. According to Turki Al-Sheikh, the actor formally recited the 'Shahadah' and later participated in prayers with members of the production team at a mosque.
A video circulating on social media shows Esposito inside a mosque. After the video was released, a wide discussion started among fans and followers about the matter.
Giancarlo Esposito gained global fame in his long acting career by playing the role of Gus Fring in 'Breaking Bad'. Later, his performance in several popular productions including 'Better Call Saul' and 'The Mandalorian' has won the audience's praise.
Turki Al-Sheikh said that during his stay in Saudi Arabia, his close acquaintance with the local Muslim community and their hospitality had a positive impact on Esposito. It is claimed that from his experience there, he became interested in learning more about Islam and later decided to convert to the religion.
However, no official statement has been released by Giancarlo Esposito on this matter yet. As a result, discussions on the matter continue in the international media.
It is worth noting that in recent years, Saudi Arabia has taken initiatives to attract various big-budget productions and foreign artists to strengthen its position in the international film and entertainment industry.
