Royal farewell to headmaster after 37 years of teaching

Headmaster Md. Aslam Hossain, who has been a shining teacher for 37 years at Bhajanpur Devnagar Government Primary School in Tetulia Upazila of Panchagarh, has ended his 37-year teaching career. A royal farewell reception was organized by former students, colleagues, guardians and locals around him. The reception was held on the school premises on Thursday (November 20) afternoon.
On the occasion of the reception, the former students welcomed the beloved teacher with floral greetings. He was brought to the school in a car. After being taken to the stage, an emotional atmosphere was created around. Former and current students became emotional at one point while reminiscing.
Assistant teacher of the school, Md. Fatima Nazreen, said, “Sir’s void will never be filled. He was a very punctual and responsible teacher. We learned the value of time and rules by watching Sir. No one ever got a chance to evade responsibility from him.”
He further said, “The discipline, dedication and management qualities we have received from Sir will be our daily motivation. In the future, if any teacher here gets the responsibility of the headmaster after getting promoted, he will be able to perform his duties with the same efficiency as Sir.”
37 years of career
Md. Aslam Hossain’s teaching career began in 1988 as an assistant teacher at Haradighi High School. In 1995, he was transferred and joined Kamatpara Government Primary School in Tetulia. Later, in 1998, he was promoted and took charge as the headmaster of Tetulia Model Government Primary School.
In 2008, he was selected as the best headmaster at the national level. In 2011, he joined Bhajanpur Devnagar Government Primary School as the headmaster and performed his duties with dedication until his retirement.
