Two more students who were shot in the violence surrounding the quota reform movement died while undergoing treatment.
Imtiaz Ahmed Dalim (20), a student who was shot in Rampura area of the capital, died around 4 am on Friday and Mainuddin (25), who was shot in Rayer Bagh of Jatrabari, died around 2 am on Thursday.
Imtiaz's father Nowsher Ali said that their house is in Jhikargacha upazila of Jessore. Imtiaz studied BBA at South East University, Tejgaon. Lived in Banashree area of Rampura. On July 19, Imtiaz was shot dead in Rampura area. Later passers-by admitted him to the hospital. He was the elder of two brothers and sisters.
Mainuddin's mother Mahfuza Begum said that their house is in Gopalganj Sadar. His son Mainuddin lived in Jatrabari Rayerbagh area with his wife Maymuna Akhtar. Studied in a madrasah there and was associated with tuition. Last July 21, Mainuddin was shot dead in Rayerbagh area.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp Incharge (Inspector) Md. Bachchu Mia said that Imtiaz was shot twice in the thigh and Mainuddin was shot in the back and neck. The body has been kept at the morgue for post-mortem.
