A primary school assistant teacher in Barguna's Amtali after going to jail in a wife abuse case is being reinstated. His name is Md. Kawsar Ahmed. He is working as an assistant teacher in South Gulishakhali Government Primary School of Amtali Upazila. Naima Akhter, the plaintiff in the case, demanded to take quick action against him.
According to related sources, if a government official is arrested for a criminal offense, he should be suspended according to the law. But even though this teacher went to jail, the authorities did not take any action against him for mysterious reasons. It is alleged that the officer is out on bail from jail and is now issuing death threats to Badi.
According to related sources, his wife Naima Akhtar filed a case against assistant teacher Kawsar Ahmed under section (3) of Dowry Prevention Act 2018 in Tangail Ghatail learned judicial magistrate court on March 18.
The plaintiff stated in the statement that Kawsar and Naima were admitted to Dhaka Jagannath University in Mass Communication and Journalism in 2015-2016. Due to studying in the same department of the same university, love is created with each other. In order to turn love into reality, with the consent of the parents, on October 23, 2023, two million rupees was collected as a dowry. Kawsa and Naima got married. Naima's father gave Kawsar 2 lakhs in cash, various gold ornaments weighing 03 kg and expensive cosmetics as dowry. After marriage, Naima started living in her husband's house. After that, a newborn baby appeared in Naima's womb. In order to destroy the child, Kawsar started physically abusing Naima in various ways including fear. Desperate, Naima was forced to abort the child against her will. Also started torture in various ways to fetch ten lakh rupees from father's house for dowry. If I refused to pay the dowry, they beat me and sent me to my father's house.
The review of the documents shows that on May 16, Kawsar Ahmed, a teacher who abused his wife, was granted interim bail on the condition of compromise with the complainant's wife, Naima. Kawsar Ahmed, the teacher who tortured his wife, mentioned that he had to compromise with his wife Naima, but he did not compromise with his wife Naima. Wife Naima appeared in the court and stated that the accused did not compromise with her on bail.
On September 4, the court rejected the bail of Kawsar Ahmed, the teacher who tortured his wife, and ordered him to be sent to prison. He was released on bail on September 16.
Acting head teacher Salma said, I have come to know about the matter and I have given the report to my upazila primary education officer, and the teacher has been reprimanded and suspended.
