Demonstrations in EB protesting the relaxation of admission conditions in Pusya quota

The students of Islami University held a protest march and rally against the relaxation of admission conditions in Pusya Quota. They also demanded that the university administration should not allow the people involved in the opposition to July movement (EB) to stay in the campus.

On Wednesday (October 30) at 11:30 a.m., students started a procession from Battala premises of the campus with the call of anti-discrimination student movement.

In the procession, students can be seen chanting slogans like 'Kai gelire terrorists, kaaye toder bapera', 'Abu Saeed-Mugdh, the war is not over, 'medha na kota, kota kota', 'no more hela fela, this will be the final game', etc.
The procession circled the important roads of the campus and ended in front of the administration building. Later a short rally was held there.

In the assembly, the students said that in every sector of the university, the friends of fascism are still sitting and trying to spoil the freedom of 24 years in different ways. The beginning of our movement was the movement against quota. Quota from Bangladesh has ended. Again the one who wanted to establish family system through quota has also been dismissed. But the leaders of the five taka Singara food have not yet left.

In addition, they also said, 'Not keeping that in the place where it should be is called oppression. We cannot oppress those who failed the university entrance examination by admitting them through quota. We want them to get justice, only those who pass the admission test will be admitted. So there will be no quota in EB. Besides, we still have a final match against EB who announced the final match on 4th August. None of the teachers, officials-employees who have been charged in the International Criminal Tribunal can hold office. We are not ready to spare anyone who is a friend of the dictatorship, associated with them and who speaks on their behalf."
In the rally, Sayem Ahmed said, "We are not willing to sit in front of the teachers who have been accused of anarchy and murder. We do not want to see these killer's friends, criminal teachers in the classroom. Because we have no opportunity to get good education from them. That's why the university We want a clear statement from the administration that the killer's friends cannot enter the campus. Before the International Criminal Tribunal summons the accused teachers and employees, the administration must take effective steps to eliminate discrimination in the society We want that quota to be abolished. This university will be a place of free learning. There is no opportunity to force admission through quotas.
