Thunderstorms and lightning expected in 7 districts by evening

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has warned of the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning and rain in some districts of the country by evening. This warning was issued in the forecast given from 9 am to 6 pm on Thursday.
According to the forecast, gusty or squally winds at a speed of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may blow from the west or northwest over Khulna District, Barishal District, Patuakhali District, Noakhali District, Comilla District, Chattogram District and Cox's Bazar District. It may be accompanied by thunder and rain.
In this situation, the river ports in the concerned areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1, so that caution can be exercised in boat traffic.
On the other hand, the 6-hour special forecast for Dhaka city says that the sky may be partly cloudy and there is a possibility of temporary thunder and rain in some places. Significant rainfall has been recorded in Dhaka in the last 24 hours, which may bring some relief by reducing the temperature but may disrupt daily movement.
The Meteorological Office said that the day temperature may remain almost unchanged. Therefore, everyone in the concerned areas has been advised to be alert to avoid possible disasters.
