Since Sunday morning, the capital Dhaka and various parts of the country have been experiencing extreme hardships as torrential rains have suddenly fallen. The Meteorological Department has said that this amount of rainfall has not been seen in this September. Today's rainfall has exceeded 100 millimeters in some areas of the capital.

Meteorologists say that the monsoon is currently more active, due to which today's rainfall has occurred. Although a low pressure area was formed in the sea earlier, it did not have much impact in the country. However, the active monsoon has mainly increased the rainfall.

According to the department's forecast, there is a possibility of rain in various parts of the country including the capital Dhaka tomorrow, Monday. In addition, a heavy rainfall warning has been issued in six divisions of the country for the next 72 hours.

The sudden rain has caused waterlogging on various roads in the capital. Office-going people have suffered. The fares of buses, rickshaws and CNG-powered auto-rickshaws have increased. Many people are stuck on the roads for a long time without finding alternative transport.

Experts say that this type of rainfall may continue in different parts of the country for the next few days due to the monsoon becoming active from mid-September.
