Bangladeshi spinner Rishad breaks Rashid Khan's world record

Bangladesh won the ODI series after a long 17 months by defeating the West Indies by a huge margin of 179 runs in Mirpur. Leg-spinner Rishad made a big contribution to the team's victory in the third and final match. He took 3 wickets in this match and set two new records by taking 12 wickets in the entire series.
Rishad, with his extraordinary bowling, has set the world record for the most wickets as a spinner in a three-match ODI series, surpassing Afghan all-rounder Rashid Khan. Rashid Khan had taken 11 wickets in 3 matches against Zimbabwe in 2018, which has surpassed Rishad's performance of 12 wickets this time.
In addition, Rishad has also broken the record for the highest wicket-taking by a spinner in a three-match ODI series for Bangladesh. Former country's spinner Arafat Sunny was at the top with 10 wickets against Zimbabwe in 2014.
Bangladesh was able to secure the ODI series win due to Rishad's extraordinary performance. He made a major contribution to the team's victory by taking 12 wickets in total, taking 6 wickets in the first match, 3 wickets in the second match and 3 wickets in the series-deciding third match.
