The transfer talk once meant the inevitable presence of Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr. After a break of a few years, Neymar is back in the discussion. This football star, who is under the attention of Europe's top clubs, is now at the end of his career. There are many rumors about his new address. Especially the possibility of returning to his childhood club Santos is high.
After leaving PSG in 2023, there were rumors of Neymar returning to Barcelona. However, Barca's sporting director Deco has made it clear that Neymar's return to Barca is not possible. He said, "Neymar's path to Barca has been closed for a long time. When he went to Saudi Arabia, we knew that he was a very expensive player, especially because of the Financial Fair Play rules."
On the other hand, Saudi club Al-Hilal has also not expressed its intention to keep Neymar in the team. Neymar, who has been out of action for much of the season due to injury, is also keen to leave the club, but the $65m release clause remains a major obstacle. Globo reported that Santos are hopeful of Neymar's return, but a financial settlement is needed to terminate his contract with Al-Hilal.
Neymar has also been linked with a move to Inter Miami in Major League Soccer, alongside Messi and Suarez. However, Miami's strict financial regulations have put a damper on that plan. Miami coach Javier Mascherano has made it clear that a reunion is not possible.
However, Neymar himself has his own interest in returning to Santos. His passion for the club has always been evident. Football fans are now waiting to see if Neymar will finally return to his boyhood club.
