After an unexpected draw against Pakistan in their first group match in the Women's SAFF Championship, Sabina-Monikara had a brilliant first half against India today. Today in Kathmandu, another Bangladesh has entered the field. At the end of the first half, Tahura Khatun's double goal led Bangladesh 3-1. Bangladesh's other goal is off-side.

Bangladesh women's team coach Peter Butler did not want seniors to play, Bangladesh midfielder Monika Chakma blasted right after the Pakistan match. In response to which coach Butler again said, angrily, that in England a player who made such comments would have been kicked out of the team.

However, seeing the Bangladesh team taking the field against India today, it did not seem like there was any trouble going on within the team. Bangladesh played well from the start with Masura Parveen and Maria Manda in the XI.

Bangladesh scored the first goal in 18 minutes by attacking with small passes and keeping the Indian defense busy. From Sabina's corner, Afeeda Khandaker coolly sent the team ahead. The second goal came in the 29th minute. Tahura scored from Rituparna Chakma's cross.

Goalkeeper Rupana Chakma made a brilliant save to deny India a goal in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, India's Manisha's free-kick bounced off the crossbar. Tahura's second goal made Bangladesh 3-0 in the 42nd minute.

Taking Shamsunnahar senior's through from the left wing, Shamsunnahar junior cut back Tahura right at the head of the box. Tahura scored a great shot from there. In the 44th minute, India's captain Bala Devi reduced the gap with a header when Rupana failed to grasp Dalimar's cross.
