Pakistan’s President Congratulates Tarique Rahman

Tarique Rahman, chairman of the BNP, has been congratulated by Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari for his party’s victory in the 13th national parliamentary elections. On Friday, February 13, Zardari conveyed his congratulations to Tarique Rahman through a post on the social media platform X.
Asif Ali Zardari said, “I congratulate Tarique Rahman and the people of Bangladesh on the BNP’s landslide victory and for conducting a successful and peaceful election. Pakistan reiterates its strong support for democratic partnership and future joint progress.”
Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his congratulations to Tarique Rahman.
On Friday morning, Modi posted on his verified Facebook page, saying, “I warmly congratulate Tarique Rahman for leading the BNP to a resounding victory in Bangladesh’s parliamentary elections. This victory reflects the trust of the people of Bangladesh in your leadership.”
He further added, “India will continue to support a democratic, progressive, and inclusive Bangladesh. I look forward to working with you to strengthen our multifaceted relationship and achieve our shared development goals.”
