Excitement over Tarique Rahman's return home: BNP's joyous procession in Tetulia

On the occasion of Tarique Rahman's return home, a joyous procession was held in Tetulia, Panchagarh, at the initiative of BNP and its affiliates. The procession, organized to welcome and congratulate BNP's acting chairman and future statesman Tarique Rahman, saw the spontaneous participation of party leaders, activists and general supporters.
The joyous procession started from Tetulia Upazila BNP office on Thursday (December 25) afternoon. Hundreds of leaders, activists and supporters of all the party's organs and associate organizations, including Tetulia Upazila BNP, took part in it. At the forefront of the procession and in a row, the participants were holding placards and festoons with pictures of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and BNP's acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
The procession circled the main roads and national highways of Tetulia and ended at the BNP office. As ordinary people joined the procession along the way, it turned into a mass movement. Forgetting the hardships of imprisonment, oppression and persecution for seventeen years, the leaders and activists became filled with slogans and joy. Party slogans could be heard everywhere, which turned the entire Tetulia into a festive city.
After the joyous procession, a short gathering was held at the BNP office. Tetulia Upazila BNP President Shahadat Hossain Ranju, General Secretary Rezaul Karim Shahin, Organizing Secretary Abu Bakkar Siddique Kabul and Abu Said Mia spoke at the event. Tetulia Upazila Chhatra Dal former president Saidur Rahman Bablu, Jubo Dal leaders Khandaker Abunoman Enam and Deoloar Hossain, Chhatra Dal leader Abu Bakkar Siddique Sabuj and many others also spoke.
The speakers said that Tarique Rahman's return to his homeland is a historic milestone in the country's path to restoring democracy. They expressed hope that under his leadership, BNP will further unite and accelerate the struggle for people's rights and establishing democracy.
After the rally, the leaders and activists returned to their respective destinations with joy and anticipation.
