BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has announced that he will be returning home on December 25. On this occasion, he participated in a discussion organized in London to bid farewell to party leaders and activists who are in the UK.
While addressing the discussion organized by the UK BNP at the City Pavilion in London at 5 pm on Tuesday (December 16) UK time, Tarique Rahman said,
“Insha Allah, I am returning home on the 25th. That is why I have come to bid farewell to you. You should all sit quietly without raising slogans, let us exchange views.”
He said, “Today is December 16—our great victory day. At the same time, I have been with you for 17-18 years. But I am leaving home on December 25, Insha Allah.”
Urging the leaders and activists to remain united, the BNP Acting Chairman said,
“The days ahead will not be easy. But if we can remain united, we can implement our plans and build the desired Bangladesh.”
Regarding the upcoming national elections, Tarique Rahman said,
“The much-awaited national elections are going to be held in two months. As a responsible political party, it is the responsibility of BNP to create awareness among the people, and it is also our duty to present a clear plan before the country.”
He also said,
“I am not in a dream, I am in a plan. Martyred President Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia rescued the country from the brink of food shortage. BNP firmly believes that it will be able to form a government with the support of the people in the next elections.”
The program was presided over by BNP Chairperson’s Advisor and UK BNP President MA Malik. The program was conducted by BNP National Executive Committee member and UK BNP General Secretary Koychar M Ahmed.
A large number of BNP leaders and activists residing in the UK were present at the discussion meeting. Tarique Rahman delivered a directional speech at the time.
The organizers said that this was Tarique Rahman’s last party program in London before returning to the country. He formally bid farewell to the leaders and activists in the UK through this program. Due to time constraints, no separate event was organized with the community and the beneficiaries.
