There will be no compromise with injustice: BNP leader Nasrin

As part of the implementation of the 31-point program announced by BNP Acting Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman to repair the state structure, a leaflet distribution program was held in Ward No. 27 of the city on Tuesday from 4 pm to evening at the initiative of Barisal Metropolitan BNP.
Afroza Khanam Nasrin, Senior Joint Convener of Barisal Metropolitan BNP, was the chief guest at the program. The event was attended by Metropolitan BNP Joint Convener Halim Mridha, Zahirul Islam Litu, members Sirajul Haque Mridha, Dulal Gazi, Nurul Islam Panir, Said Khokon, Ward 27 BNP members Bachchu Howlader, Mamun Talukder, Ulama Dal Convener Sarwar, Chhatra Dal leaders Raju, Amin, Ward 1 BNP members Hakim Howlader, Ward 22 BNP members Monowar Hossain Chunnu, Sharif Firoz Ahmed, Makshuda Akhter, Metropolitan Chhatra Dal Vice President Ashiq Howlader and numerous leaders, activists and supporters.
At the end of the program, chief guest Afroza Khanam Nasreen said, "I had to serve 9 prison terms (about four and a half years) during the fascist regime. During the last arrest, my younger child kept running behind a car. When my husband went to see me, he was also arrested. Still, I did not back down from the movement—I came out of jail and continued the struggle."
She also said, "Under my leadership, the leaders and activists in every area of Barisal are still active and united. I have never compromised with injustice, and I will never do so. Since August 5, I have not been able to sleep peacefully—I have been by the side of the people every day and night."
Nasreen also mentioned, "BNP is the party of the people. Every leader and activist of the grassroots is now unitedly participating in the struggle to restore democracy. This movement is a movement for the liberation of the people."
