Jamaat's human chain in Jhalakathi, Express Road in turmoil over five-point demands

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Jhalakathi district branch has formed a human chain in support of the central five-point demands, including issuing the July National Charter implementation order and holding a referendum on it, before the national parliament elections.
The human chain was held at 9:30 am on Wednesday (October 15) in the Express Road area of Jhalakathi city. A large number of workers and supporters, including district and upazila level leaders, participated in it.
The speakers at the human chain said that the five-point demands announced for the rights of the people and establishing a just society are now the inevitable demands of the time. They said, 'We are continuing the movement to establish the just rights of the people in a peaceful manner. If the government fails to implement the people's demands, a larger movement will be launched across the country.
The speakers also said that the goal of Jamaat-e-Islami is to establish a just state by establishing people's voting rights, good governance, and a fair economic structure. They urged the government to take quick decisions in the interest of the people instead of ignoring these demands.
In addition to the district Jamaat leaders, upazila-level officials also spoke at the human chain. They pledged to achieve their demands through a united movement.
