A former councilor and Awami League leader has been accused of stabbing a Chhatra Dal leader in Savar. This incident took place in the morning in Aichanoyada area of Ward No. 7 of the municipality. Chhatra Dal leader Naeem Khan (25) became the plaintiff and filed a complaint at Savar Model Police Station.
The accused are former councilor and Awami League leader Rashid Molla (65), son of deceased Munsur Ali of Aichanodd area, his son Litu Molla (38), Tutul Molla (36), Palash Molla (32).
According to the complaint source, the defendants were involved in extortion, looting, drug sales and youth gangs under their leadership. If we protest against these activities, the defendants are threatening us with various threats. In view of that, on the morning of September 14, I stayed in the PM's room inside the Benham Pharmaceutical Limited located in Aichanowada and discussed with the authorities of the institution about the constant increase in the violence of the scumbags and juvenile gangs in front of the institution. The authorities of the institution agree with our opinion and seek the cooperation of all as well as the administration to reduce the scourge of miscreants and juvenile gangs. At the end of the discussion, during my stay in the institution, after getting the news about the discussion, 7/8 unknown defendants, including the mentioned defendants, suddenly attacked me with domestic lethal weapons before I could understand anything. At one stage the defendant took out a sharp knife from Rashid Mollah's pocket and with the said knife hit me on my left leg with the intention of killing me and caused severe cut and bloody injury. Then the authorities of Benham Pharmaceutical Ltd. tried to protect me from the defendants. At one point, when I ran out of the institution to save my life, unknown 7/8 defendants including the defendants chased me with domestic sharp weapons like daggers, ramada iron rods, sticks and knives. On the way, defendant Litu Molla and Tutul Molla beat me with an iron rod from behind and caused severe and bruised injuries in different places on my body. During this incident, the defendant Palash Molla beat my friend Kausar Ahmed Kankan Molla with a stick and cut Nilafula on different parts of his body. Seeing the incident and hearing our screams, people from the surrounding area came and rescued us and admitted us to the Upazila Health Complex.
In this regard, Benham Pharmaceutical's plant manager, Vidyut Kumar Sarkar said, I was talking to Naeem in my office. Suddenly an old man entered our room. I ask him to sit. At that time, the man got angry with Naeem and took out a pocket knife and attacked him. Later we save Naeem.
